Have you ever wanted to explore a career in magazine journalism? Get started with a part-time editorial internship with Minnesota Business magazine. Minnesota Business magazine is a small publication with rich opportunities.
Internships are available year-round, in three-month cycles, and are located at Tiger Oak Media’s Minneapolis office. The position involves fact-checking, writing blog posts and stories, and participating in projects and the magazine’s signature events, as well as the opportunity to expand your experience and portfolio as your internship goes on.
This is an unpaid position, but interns receive a $100 per month stipend at the end of the internship.
Requirements: Candidates would ideally be Journalism, English or Communications majors (or recent graduates) with a basic knowledge of journalistic writing style, including best practices for interviews and fact-checking; familiarity with AP style; the ability to manage time and tasks independently; and a commitment to meeting deadlines. Attention to detail as well as strong writing and editing skills are required; an enthusiasm for learning is a definite must-have for this position.
